Ethan gets to be the first at everything in our family. Since he turned 8 last year we've had a lot of firsts. Cub Scouts is like learning a foriegn language. This past week, Ethan went to day camp. He was a little nervous at first, but after the first day, he was hooked. He got to shoot BB guns, archery, fishing, crafts and even got a few things signed off in his book. Weather was good all week except Wednesday, where it rained ALL day. There weren't any storms so nothing was cancelled, but it just pored all day long-character building, right? Ethan's den won an award for picking up the most trash for their service project. The picture is of them getting there award on the final day. Parents were to be there early to watch their skits and awards, but I didn't make it until the very end because our inspector decided to show up at the center right as I was ready to leave.Oh, the joys of owning your own business.

Ah! The joys of Cub Scouts. Alan is the cubmaster but he ends up having to work during almost all the pack meetings so I get to do them! We've (I've) been begging our Bishop to call him an assistant because I'm going crazy. I'm glad he's having fun though!
