For Youth Conference this year, our stake had a Pioneer Trek. Mike and I volunteered to be a Ma and Pa. We had 10 youth in our family. It was a blast! The kids are only allowed to bring their clothes and a pocket knife- no deodorant, toothpaste, or Ipods! The 1st day we went 14 miles so it was a little hard on Mike and I, but very hard on the kids. We weren't allowed to touch the handcarts so they had to do all the work. The 2nd and 3rd days weren't as hard. We only went a few miles each day and then had activities. The most exciting was the demonstration on how to kill a chicken. I've never seen that before but it sure was tasty. We had lots of fun and would love to do it again sometime-maybe
when Ethan is 14.

I'm glad you've started a blog, it will be great to follow your family's adventures from time to time.
You guys look very cute in your pioneer outfits. I'm glad you had fun - that sounds horrible to me. :-)
Yay for your new blog!! I'm excited to have another one to keep track of and I can't wait to see all your pictures. I'm glad you enjoyed the trek and it's nice that you didn't have to push the handcarts!!
