Be Careful What You Promise

We told our kids we would take them to see the new "Monsters vs. Aliens" movie last Saturday. We went out to dinner at Outback first and it took a little longer than we thought. When we got to the theatre the next showing wasn't until 9:20 PM and that showing was the 3-D version, which costs more. When we told the kids we couldn't stay for a movie that late or pay for the 3-D version we had a riot on our hands. We eventually gave in and paid over 50 bucks. They loved the movie and all stayed awake for the whole thing. Getting up for church the next morning wasn't as fun.
